Primary Objectives:

1. Overall migration of network infrastructure from Novell Netware to Microsoft NT and Unix.
2. Migration of e-mail system from Netware MHS based system to MS Exchange.
3. Implementation of Microsoft IIS servers to host corporate Intra- and Internet resources, including the Outlook web client.
4. Creation of a server farm to host additional corporate Web sites.
5. Creation of a SQL-Server database to store the web-based library of technical documentation for IT personnel.

Tasks Performed

• Analyzed the existing network and determined the best method to introduce NT servers.
• Coordinated the NT server rollout and retirement of the Netware back-end.

• Implemented Solaris servers to host account processing applications.
• Designed and implemented a UNIX/NT coexistence methodology.
• Coordinated the rollout of MS Outlook client for MS Exchange.
• Implemented and configured Raptor firewall.
• Created a Web-based library of manuals for personnel explaining NT, UNIX, Exchange and Outlook client concepts.
